PRO EUROPE s.p.r.l. (PACKAGING RECOVERY ORGANISATION EUROPE), established in 1995, is a European organisation gathering the national package and packaging waste recovery and recycling systems, set up and managed by the industry.
The national recovery and recycling systems affiliated to PRO EUROPE come from: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey, UK, Ukraine and Hungary.
PRO EUROPE's mission is to support the national systems in providing high quality services and long-term efficiency to all affiliated companies, as well as to develop the industry’s relations with the European authorities.
By its activity, PRO EUROPE makes an active contribution to creating stable and functional markets of secondary raw materials, with a view to minimising recovery and recycling costs.
PRO EUROPE promotes and protects international regulations on the use of the Green Dot mark, as a symbol of the producer’s responsibility and effective packaging waste management.
The results achieved by the organisations affiliated to PRO EUROPE prove that packaging waste recycling is a major step towards the sustainable development of the society and ensuring a healthy environment for the future generations.
Eco-Rom Ambalaje has been a member of PRO EUROPE since 2004, and became a shareholding member in December 2008.
