Selective waste collection is a solution easily available to everybody, and consists of the disposal of waste in specially arranged places, with a view to being recycled. Pursuant to Government Decision 621/ 2006 (as supplemented and amended by 1872/2006), public institutions, associations, foundations and individuals have the obligation to collect packaging waste selectively, in different containers marked accordingly and located in special places readily accessible to the population.
According to Order 1121 of January 5th, 2006, the colours used to identify the containers and recipients intended for selective waste collection are the following:
