Over 1,600 companies recycling their packaging through Eco-Rom Ambalaje!

Through a Responsibility Takeover Contract, ECO - ROM AMBALAJE takes over the obligation pertaining to the economic operators to organise package and packaging waste recovery and recycling activities.

The benefits of transferring responsibility to Eco-Rom Ambalaje include:

As a result of the Responsibility Takeover Contract, 80% of your costs related to the collection and recycling of the packages introduced on the national market will be reduced!
Certainty of reaching recycling objectives - all companies affiliated to the Eco-Rom Ambalaje system have the same rights and obligations, regardless of their status - either founding members or clients.
For failure to achieve the recovery and recycling objectives or for improper fulfilment hereof (insufficient documents proving the traceability of the packaging waste), the economic operator shall pay a contribution of 2 RON/kg to the Environment Fund Administration!
ONLINE monitoring of the achievement of recovery and recycling objectives - access to an integrated electronic data management system (quantities put on the market/monthly reporting/ rectifications/ affiliated waste management companies).
The system provides all the conditions for the timely submission (by the 25th of each month) of the Monthly Statements to the Environment Fund Administration, thus avoiding the penalties provided by the legislation for failure to submit such statements!
The right to use the Green Dot mark on the Romanian territory. The Green Dot certifies to the consumer that the producer/importer of the packaged products pays a financial contribution for the recovery and recycling of the packages put on the national market;

Annual workshop - Presentation of the tariff calculation means.
As an industry organisation, every year in November, Eco-Rom Ambalaje presents to the companies, in full transparency, the tariffs for the following year, the calculation method, the situation of the selective collection from the population, developed educational programmes, as well as the latest developments in packaging recycling in the European Union.
E-Newsletter. Eco-Rom Ambalaje constantly provides to all its affiliates information related to:
- Legislative amendments at the national/European level;
- Evolution of the selective collection implementation programme in Romania;
- Changes in the Atlas programme of the Environment Fund Administration ;
- Packaging waste management companies in Romania;
- State of play at EU level.
