In line with the sustainable development principles, Eco-Rom Ambalaje equally pursues economic efficiency and the generation of social and ecological "benefits", as follows:

Financial - The organisation does not aim at making a profit. The operating profit is fully reinvested in selective collection infrastructure, educational programmes and increasing service quality. The organisation does not distribute dividends.

Social - The activity of Eco-Rom Ambalaje has generated jobs and has significantly boosted recycling in Romania. Additionally, in partnership with various non-governmental organisations or state institutions, Eco-Rom Ambalaje has been involved in projects aimed at educating the population in the spirit of environmental protection.

Environmental - Having as a strategic option the recycling of package waste and the development of the selective collection system, Eco-Rom Ambalaje makes a substantial contribution to protecting Romania's natural resources, due to the large quantities of package waste introduced in the economic circuit as secondary raw materials.

The organisation is open to welcoming new members from among the companies having the obligation to achieve recovery and recycling targets set by the law;
Equal treatment offered to all the companies involved in the system, by offering the same types of services, at the same tariffs per ton of material placed on the market;
The tariffs reflect the system operation costs in the two flows: industrial - commercial and household flow.
